Three questions, answered daily

Charge, Effort and Rest.

Every NOOP day comes down to three numbers, each on a 0 to 100 scale, each read from your own heart rate, HRV and motion and computed on your device using open, published sport science. They aim at the same questions WHOOP answers, with our own honest, documented maths.

How recovered are you?

Charge

Your overnight recovery, led by heart-rate variability against your own rolling baseline, plus resting heart rate, last night's rest and a skin-temperature flag.

Effort

Your day's cardiovascular load, built from heart-rate-reserve zones on a logarithmic scale. Easy days sit low, and an all-out day near 100 stays genuinely rare.

No black box

Tap any number. See exactly what built it.

Every score opens up. Charge shows you the drivers that shaped it: HRV against baseline, resting heart rate, sleep quality, respiration and skin temperature, each with its points and a plain reason like "above baseline, supporting recovery". Nothing is hidden behind a brand.

  • When a number can't be computed honestly, it shows nothing

Sleep and rest

Every night, staged on your device.

NOOP stages each offloaded night into wake, light, deep and REM from your motion, heart rate and respiration, then rolls it into your Rest score. Duration against your own sleep need does the heavy lifting, with efficiency, restorative share and consistency on top.

Sleep stages are honest approximations, around 65 to 73% epoch agreement against the research ceiling. Deep sleep is the weakest estimate, and we say so.

Optional · Bring your own key

A coach, only if you want one.

The AI Coach is the single opt-in feature that can reach the network, and it is off until you switch it on with your own API key. Ask it a question and it sends a short text summary of your recent metrics to the provider you choose. Nothing else in the app ever touches the network, and your raw data never does.
