1. NOOP is open source
The source code for the NOOP apps is public. You can read it, build it yourself, and check exactly what it does. There are no hidden parts.
The code lives on GitHub at github.com/NoopApp/noop, with a mirror on the noop.fans forge. Read every line if you want to.
2. NOOP's licence
NOOP is released under the PolyForm Noncommercial licence. In plain terms, you are free to use, study, and share NOOP for non-commercial purposes. Commercial use is not granted.
The full LICENSE file in the repository is the authoritative text. If anything here and the licence file disagree, the licence file wins. Read it at github.com/NoopApp/noop/blob/main/LICENSE.
3. Third-party components
The apps build on open-source libraries and open standards. One example is the Bluetooth GATT heart-rate standard, which is how NOOP reads heart rate from supported devices.
Each of those components carries its own licence, and we keep the full acknowledgements with NOOP. The complete, definitive list of third-party components and their licences is bundled inside the app and is also visible in the repository. If you want the exact, current list, look there rather than relying on a summary here.
4. This website
This website is dependency-free. It ships no third-party JavaScript, no third-party fonts, and no trackers. Everything you load is self-hosted by us.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It stores only two functional values in your browser (your theme choice and a privacy acknowledgement), and neither ever leaves the browser.
